Maintenance Technician – Electrical About the job JOB PURPOSE As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain assets in accordance with common technical practice and manufacturers’ requirements to ensure right equipment reliability. Follow local, regional, segment, and Group (especially HSEQ), requirements, objectives, and guidelines for how the work shall be performed. In this role, you will ensure all the equipment and machinery runs smoothly and reliably. The work typically involves scheduled maintenance and responding to breakdowns by checking, repairing, and servicing the electrical, instrumentation and control system. This position is based in Qatar and reporting to the Maintenance Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities: Conduct inspection and testing of electrical, Instrumentation and control system.
Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment under the scope of maintenance department.
Read electrical and instrument diagram and manual to determine work procedures and trouble shooting.
Good knowledge on electrical safety and able to develop site specific procedures.
Support the operation and quality of Jotun’s property and production equipment
Actively participate in Safe Job Analysis and follow the requirements given in the Work Permit PERSONAL QUALITIES AND WHAT WE OFFER What we are looking for: Diploma in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field. At least 5 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance. Good verbal and written communication skill. Experience in paint industry is an advantage.
