Role Purpose To support the daily operations of MMI/ELR’s freight and customs documentation, ensuring that all paperwork is prepared and organized promptly, and sent to the appropriate parties with all necessary details related to local and/or international import shipments. This includes managing airfreight and sea freight bookings, overseeing outbound re-export freight, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations and other government approvals. Key Accountabilities Manage all inbound/outbound document flow and tracking within agreed timings – collection, validation and follow up on missing / incorrect documentation
Request and collect quotes for freight and highlight discrepancies with agreed tariffs to relevant parties
Book Freight & ensure all required documents to the freight partner
Manage Airfreights to ensure all documentation is received on time
Monitor deliveries and warehouses advises
Manage Claim Advises
Maintain KPIs (Sea/Air Import & Export, Claims, Demurrage, Document Deposit)
Food Authority registrations and accreditations
Regularly update Salesforce system Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience with freight and customs documentation within the UAE
Must have a Bachelors’ degree
Knowledge in Customs and Municipality Rules and Regulations
Knowledge in International purchasing and Incoterms
Must be fluent in English and excellent communicator
Process oriented with systematic approach to issues
Intermediate to advanced user in MS suite particularly on excel Preferred Experience, Skills & Qualifications Previous experience of FMCG environments and products
Understanding/Experience working with an ERP
