وظائف ادارية لدى Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) في نيروبي، كينيا Regional Sustainability Manager We are looking for a Regional Sustainability Manager. The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and reports directly to the Regional Managing Director, Neumann Kaffee Gruppe East Africa, with a dotted reporting line to Group Sustainability. The Regional Sustainability Manager will lead and oversee the Sustainability departments/activities in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, driving the implementation of NKG’s sustainable business strategy across the region. This senior role focuses on ensuring the long-term sustainability and profitability of the business while creating measurable social, environmental, and economic value for (smallholder) farmers, NKGEA, and other stakeholders, such as coffee roasters. Key priorities include: Guiding the execution of NKG’s sustainability strategy via the BLOOM platform within the region. Scaling and supporting sustainability initiatives through effective stakeholder management and 3 rd party fundraising. Collaborating with development and corporate partners to enhance the implementation and impact of sustainable business operations. Your Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the regional sustainable business strategy aligned with NKG’s global vision and goals.
Oversee the performance and development of the sustainability departments in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda to ensure operational excellence and alignment with the NKG’s sustainable business strategy.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability, traceability, and farmer support services.
Program Implementation
Drive the implementation of sustainability projects/programs in the region.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmer- and development organisations, government bodies, and corporate partners.
Act as a regional representative for the East African companies in sustainability, development, and industry collaboration discussions.
Fundraising and Partnership Development
Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities with development finance institutions, NGOs, and corporate partners.
Financial Oversight
Work closely with the Regional MD and finance teams to manage budgets of the sustainability projects and programs.
Monitor the financial performance of the units, ensuring efficiency and long-term economic viability.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and inspire the sustainability teams in the region, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to sustainability.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. How will success look like? Successful implementation and scaling of NKG Sustainability Strategy in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Increased farmer participation and measurable improvements in farm productivity, profitability, and sustainability practices.
Development and execution of impactful stakeholder partnerships.
Fundraising targets achieved to support and scale programs.
High levels of transparency and accountability in reporting and traceability systems. Your profile Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Development) Economics, Agribusiness, or a Sustainability-related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability, development, or agribusiness, preferably in a leadership role.
Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising within the East African context.
Strong understanding of smallholder farmer dynamics and value chain development. Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage multi-country teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with commercial acumen.
Proficiency in English; Kiswahili is an advantage. Personal Attributes: Passionate about sustainability and improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with practical execution.
Collaborative and inclusive leader, adept at working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
