We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position is responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and preparing essential reports. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions in the general ledger (GL). Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Provide variance analysis and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies. Ensure all intercompany accounts, accruals, and other relevant accounts are accurately reconciled.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including review and preparation of reports, schedules, and supporting documentation. Ensure financial statements are completed within the required timelines.
Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of sales tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes.
Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies and assist in maintaining a strong control environment. Identify areas of risk and work proactively to resolve them.
Audit Support: Act as a point of contact during internal and external audits. Prepare requested documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
Supervision of Periodic Stock Count: Supervise and coordinate the periodic stock counts (e.g., quarterly, annually), ensuring accurate recording of inventory data. Review and investigate discrepancies and ensure proper valuation and reconciliation of inventory balances.
Support the Accounting Team: Support the accounting team in their daily tasks, providing guidance and assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations. Help solve problems, address issues, and maintain efficient workflow within the team.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and management. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Prior experience in industry is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
