Data Steward Team Member
About the job
We are looking for a motivated & passionate candidate to be responsible of working closely with business users and technical teams to handle and manage metadata, data lineage, data consistency, data quality and business glossaries across all data solution blocks including identifying end-to-end data flow and dependencies in support of delivery, change and release, assuring compliance with data governance policies and procedures and testing all changes across business analytics solution architecture. Setting and utilizing data governance processes and procedures and ensuring the fitness of data elements – both content and metadata.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as an owner for data governance, data consistency, data quality, data lineage and data security and monitor the data flow and transformation across all data layers with proper documentation for the whole process.
Establish and govern an enterprise data architecture and governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for the development of information-based capabilities and ensure that data policies and standards turn into practice.
Work with the Solution Architects to plan and design the flow of data starting from different data sources up to KPIs level, this includes all data layers (Foundation, Analytical and Semantic), data marts and related reports and dashboards.
Support Solution Architects, ETLs developers, BI developers and Data Scientists to identify and design development and maintenance plans and provide impact analysis for emerging business requirements.
Ensure compliance with data standards and model alignment with the overall enterprise architecture and applicable standards.
Serve as an aggregator between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data-related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
Create and maintain an authorization matrix and manage data access with proper documentation for the access approval process.
Act as a responsible party for applying quality checks and testing owner for all processes across data solution architecture blocks including – but not restricted to – design changes, ETLs, scorecards, reports and dashboards
Maintain quality of the data using customer feedback, concerns, and questions; internally reporting metrics; evaluating and identifying issues; and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
Create data governance processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence.
What Do You Need to Qualify
Our Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
Preferred 2 years of relevant experience.
