Our Hostel is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-oriented Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will be responsible for managing reservations, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out experience. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Manage bookings and reservations via phone, email, and online platforms
- Provide guests with information about hostel facilities, local attractions, and travel options
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and payments
- Assist in coordinating housekeeping and maintenance requests
- Process payments and maintain cash handling procedures
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Follow hostel policies and safety procedures Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and French (additional languages are a plus)
- Basic computer skills (experience with booking systems is a plus)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
