Job Description: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Roads Design Engineer to lead our Roads Department. This key leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of design and project delivery—ensuring that work is technically sound, delivered on time and on budget, and meets all applicable standards. The successful candidate will guide a multidisciplinary team, manage client relationships, and drive innovations in design and construction methodologies. Key Responsibilities: –Oversee the development of detailed road and highway designs; ensure technical excellence, compliance with international and local standards, and integration of safety and sustainability principles. –Lead projects from proposal through completion, effectively controlling schedules, budgets, and resources; ensure deliverables meet contractual, quality, and client requirements. –Mentor and manage a team of engineers and support staff, fostering professional growth, encouraging innovation, and maintaining a collaborative environment focused on achieving top-quality results. –Prepare and present proposals, interpret RFPs, manage contractual documentation (including Bills of Quantities), and build strong, lasting relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory authorities. Education and Experience: –Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred. –At least 13 years of progressive experience in road and highway design and engineering, including management roles. –Proven track record of delivering complex highway projects on time and within budget. –Knowledge of international standards, safety regulations, and local codes. –Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities. –Proficiency in design software and familiarity with advanced engineering methodologies. –Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
