This role combines office-based coordination with hands-on field support and includes regular travel to Mombasa and other locations as needed. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS Foundational knowledge of logistics procedures, particularly related to port and airport operations.
Flexibility and readiness to travel on short notice, especially to Mombasa.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
A collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Proficiency in email communication and standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Good English communication skills
Continual desire to learn & expand transportation and logistics knowledge through trade magazines, programs, training, etc.
Ability to keep up with fast paced changes in the transportation & logistics environment
Ability to professionally communicate with customers and vendors in reference to questions and discrepancies, service failures, business opportunities, etc.
Ability to promote and ensure strong team environment

Assisting with creation and maintenance of quality processes

Recognition of importance of customer satisfaction and good vendor relations JOB DUTIES Provide on-ground support for the coordination and processing of both import and export shipments via air and sea.
Travel to Mombasa as needed to oversee and support export logistics, including participation in container stuffing.
This role may occasionally require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on operational needs.
Liaise effectively with Customs, transporters, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient cargo handling.
Follow up with relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Kenya Bureau of Standards) to ensure timely issuance of necessary permits.
Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams regarding field operations and shipment progress.
Assist with documentation and compliance processes to support smooth shipping operations.
Accompany deliveries to client premises when required, ensuring accurate tallying and proper signing of delivery notes. Salary Range: 30,000 KES-40,000 per month, depending on experience
