Manager Transport Key accountabilities and decision ownership: Manage a team of experts to plan, design and deploy the end-to-end Transmissions layers (IP Backbone, Microwave, optical network and DWDM)
Manage capacity planning for all Transmissions domains: Access, Backbone and International Networks.
Manage and develop the technical RFQs, RFP including vendor selections evaluation and scoring.
Ensure timely implementation of all Transmissions domains and capacity plans
Manage budget planning and realization in line with the financial targets of Vodafone.
Support Marketing and other Business stakeholders to deploy innovative services and solutions meeting them. Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience on Transmissions planning in an operator environment
knowledge/experience in Design and Project delivery of the Mobile Backhaul technologies, MW, DWDM and MPLS technologies
Leadership experience on similar operator environment.
Deep understanding of RFP/RFQ and vendor selection process
Clear understanding for 5 G Transport Network roadmap and standards Key performance indicators: Building reliable Transmission network
Team Lead
Delivery of projects in a timely manner Must have technical / professional qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Networking or Telecommunication Engineering
Previous experience with large scale RFQ
Goal oriented – sets and prioritize targets
Solid experience of working within a complex business environment
